You’re A Mojito — For Now

Every week we get update emails from BabyCenter that tells us all about the milestones our little one is reaching in utero. It is always exciting to see what new things it is doing and how it has grown. They also tell you a food equivalent for the baby’s size.

When we first started getting the emails, I suggested making a dish every week with the item that our baby related to. For example, the week it was a kidney bean — which now seems like eons ago — I suggested making chili. Then I realized that my suggestion was a little bit creepy and perhaps cannibalistic. I quickly gave up on that dream, but I still love to announce what Baby Bunny “is” this week.

So… this week — week 12 — Baby Bunny is a LIME!

I remember when our friend was pregnant and she received the same emails. When she was at this point in her pregnancy, and also had a tiny lime cookin’, she came over to our house to tell us. Lauren quickly jumped to her feet and brought about 10 limes into the living room. We then spent the next 10 minutes holding them up next to her belly and picturing a tiny baby in her belly. So, now it’s my turn. Only this time around… I am craving a mojito! šŸ™‚ Next week we are a peach — bellinis anyone?

Thank you to everyone for the well-wishes from earlier in the week. My midwife ended up not sending me to the ER — thank goodness — and just had me monitor the amount of fluids I was able to take in. I am feeling a little bit better and am able to drink and eat mild food. My stomach is still sensitive and I think it will be a long time before I eat yogurt. Poor sensitive preggo belly.

  1. One of my all time favorite memories is Sadira as the lime duing the week of Cinco de Mayo! How convenient, so Lauren would have the required fruit on hand! It seems like only yesterday and now here we are with Baby Bunny cooking it up, citrus style šŸ™‚ Love it!

So glad you’re starting to feel better.
