Celebrate Good Times!

Yesterday our dear, dear friends threw us the most spectacular baby celebration party.ย  It was a nice mix of fancy, crafty and traditional — all perfect, all wonderful, all amazing.

The theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and everything was gorgeously red and green. It was lovely!

In addition to OUTSTANDING food prepared with love, our friends arranged a craft time for all of us. Included were iron-on designs for onesies and burp cloths, the letters of Baby Bunny’s name to paint and picture frames to paint. As you can see, everyone (even the littlest ones) had a great time. ๐Ÿ™‚

We also requested that everyone bring their favorite childhood book to the shower, so we quickly gathered quite a library for our little Baby Bunny. Here is a fantastic example of a basket themed around The Lorax that we received (complete with the collector’s edition of the book and a stuffed Lorax!).

We also opened some very thoughtful, kind gifts. This is a mobile that our friend made. Each small baby food jar contains a mini-item. He wrote a book that is a companion to the mobile as well which describes each item. It makes my eyes teary every time I read the book.

All in all, it was a totally magical afternoon.

OH!

And we finished painting her letters… So, now… without further delay…

The debut of Baby Bunny’s first name…

A big thank you to everyone who made this day so special and wonderful. Our little one is already so loved. ๐Ÿ™‚
